Winter Wishlist!

Here are a few of my new favorite things for this holiday season. I love shopping for myself but, I also love getting gifts as well. Especially unexpected gifts. Below are a few of my new favorite things that I can’t wait to stock up on and treat myself with! You can also use this wishlist as a guide for your friend, mom or, girlfriend! There is something for every type of person on this list below, I promise!

MAC “Hot Gossip” lipstick. This lipstick is not too crazy but, it’s not too bland either. It is the perfect color to still make a statement for a special evening or, just a day out on the town.

Burberry Brit for Women is a classic scent that I have recently become obsessed with. Every for years, a woman should always change up her perfume because it’s good for your skin and, your skin becomes used to a scent after a while so, you won’t get a long lasting smell if you never switch it up. I love the smell of Burberry Brit and, I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I’ve used Vera Wang Princess for the past two years but, I’m ready to switch it up (just in time for the holiday season)!

Big pearl earrings are my new obsession. Actually, just pearls in general are starting to really interest me a lot more than they ever have. I think it’s because they are timeless and always in style. I found these earrings on Macy’s website and they are Ralph Lauren. My birthstone is pearl so, these earrings would go great with the beautiful pearl ring my parents gave me!

This Kate Spade watch is EVERYTHING. I’ve always been meaning to buy myself a really nice watch that is simple but chic and this is definitely that! I am definitely a gold jewelry girl, so this would go perfect with many of my statement necklaces. Everyone needs the perfect, nice watch some point in their life. Especially when they are heading into the grown up world soon!

These Anthropology tea cups are adorable and I love them. Recently, I have been super obsessed with home decor and little apartment/house things. I love drinking tea especially now since its so cold out!

My Lilly Pulitzer planner gets me through my hectic and busy days. I don’t know what I would do without it! It keeps me so organized and really helps me out. It has stickers, helpful tabs and an elastic band closure so the pages don’t get ruined.

The Tory Burch Reva Ballerina flats are a great way to look nice for work but still be comfortable and stylish! These flats have Tory’s gorgeous gold logo on them which makes them stand out and make a statement.

This Michael Kors satchel is my new favorite. Either in “luggage” or “black” it is so beautiful! I like now Michael Kors has left the ugly MK lock that it used to put on all of its bags and, I’m really happy how his new collections just says “Michael Kors” tiny on the top of the bag. Maybe it’s because I’m a simple person but, I like his new collection a lot more than his older ones.

This ASOS Oversized Scarf looks so comfy but every time it comes back into stock it sells out again (so sad)! Next time is comes back into stock I must buy it. It’s a fashion statement AND it keeps you warm.

Fall & Boyfriend Jeans

Listen up ladies, if you haven’t tried on a pair of boyfriend jeans yet, you better head over to the mall fast! I recently purchased a pair of boyfriend jeans and I really don’t know if I will be able to go back to wearing skinny jeans. These boyfriend jeans are so comfortable and also very stylish. Today I styled my boyfriend jeans with an over sized taupe colored sweater from Forever 21 (similar) and, a pair of brown ankle boots that are similar to these from, Aldo. The necklace I am wearing is from Chloe+Isabel and, my clutch is Tory Burch which you can find here. Finding the right boyfriend jeans took some time because I am short and petite. I tried on many pairs from many different stores but none of them fit me correctly. I finally came across Charlotte Russe and, I found the perfect pair that actually fit me in all the right ways. I know Charlotte Russe can be somewhat tacky at times but, I have to give them a compliment right now because these jeans are amazing! Time to go celebrate the weekend! TGIF! Xo

Simple Chic

Today I wanted to say simple but still look chic. I decided to pair black skinny jeans with this new sweater I got from Loft this weekend which you can find here. I just discovered Loft and I am more than obsessed with it. It is really hard for me to find nice clothes my size so, I tend to shop at stores that carry petite sizes. Loft now has a huge petite section so it works out perfectly for me. I chose to wear my favorite necklace from Francesca’s Boutique to top off my outfit. I got this necklace about a year ago, and even though I have more than thirty statement necklaces, this is my favorite because it goes with everything! Hope you enjoyed your Tuesday! XO

Attention Scandal Lovers!

Hey Gladiators, get ready! The Limited just announced that it is collaborating with Kerry Washington and Lyn Paoloin (in partnership with Elliot Staples, head of design from the Limited) to design a clothing line based on “Olivia Popes” outfits from past and current episodes of the ABC hit series, Scandal. The Scandal clothing line is expected to hit stores on September 23, 2014.

“By creating a line inspired by the show, we are introducing a collection that embodies the elegance and power of the Scandal aesthetic for real-life gladiators and everyday fashionistas,” said Washington. “The collection is a nod to our devoted fans, to fans of fashion and to women everywhere who are inspired to boldly pursue their passions and look good while doing it.” The garments are expected to start at just $49, which is a steal.

I don’t know about you gals but, I am so excited to shop the new line! I have always noticed Ms. Pope’s fashion during the episodes and wondered where I can get the same clothes. Problem solved!

Check out The Limited’s website here with more information about the launch of their new Scandal line.

Saturday Adventures

Ahh, the weekend! A time for letting loose after a long work/school week and hanging with some special people. This past weekend I went out to a great Italian restaurant called Trento, which is located in Huntington. It has a great atmosphere with dimmed lighting and light music in the background. Their menu isn’t intense which makes it an easier choice of what to order for dinner. I also LOVED how they had a “T” on all of their wine and water glasses. That definitely gave the table a little something extra!

After starting off with some Pinot Grigio wine (my fave), we ordered a Kobe Beef Meatball which was to die for. It was this gigantic meatball, surrounded by fresh marinara sauce and  had whipped ricotta cheese on top (it was basically a meatball sundae). This dish is definitely shareable between at least three people. We also ordered some Calamari to munch on before dinner. Our dinner plates ranged from, Rigatoni alla Vodka, Chicken Parmigiano, Shrimp Bisque soup and, a plate of Broccoli Rabe Rapini. Clearly, there wasn’t any room for dessert after all of this delicious food!

Looking at these photos makes me want to head back over to Trento ASAP! I think for my next time around, I would strictly go for drinks and the Kobe Beef Meatball appetizer. I hope you all have a great start to your week!
